From Patricia Routley: Another of John Jack's roses Southern Cross John Jack, Australia. 1977 deep yellow sport of Redgold
Note - This is a different rose to the pink ‘Southern Cross, bred by Alister Clark in 1931.

1999 Botanica’s Roses. 2nd and revised edition Colourpix p558 p558. Southern Cross. Modern. Cluster-flowered floribunda. Deep yellow. Repeat Flowering. This rose is very similar to its award winning parent in most respects, with the exception of its flower color, which is daffodil yellow. The lightly fragranced blooms are well shaped and medium sized, with petals that reflex when the flower is fully open to show a dark mass of stamens at the center. ‘Southern Cross’ gives upright growth.
