Discovered by Unknown (1818). Introduced in United Kingdom by Lady Amherst in 1831 as ' C. odorata Wall.'.
Class:
Early Small Flowered, Group 1, Montana Group.
Bloom:
White. Strong fragrance. 4 petals. Average diameter 1.5". Single, clusters bloom form. Late spring to early summer, summer.
Habit:
Height: up to 26' (up to 790cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 9b. Plant in soil that drains well. Plant in sun or partial shade. No pruning required.
