Clematis Guiding Star [First-class Certificate]. — In this variety the flowers are reddish-purple, with a  broad flame of rich maroon; it is in the way of, but superior to C. magnifica, and comes also very near to C. Star of India. — Messrs. Cripps & Son: R.H.S., July 16.
