It has not been my privilege to grow or see any of the very latest Sass peonies, some of which I hear are very fine, but the first two put out have been in my garden a number of years.
Grace Batson. Probably opens better than the former [Florence Macbeth], but is not so delicate a color. Bloom is to me on the spectacular order and of a near approach to the color that is so prominent among these spectacular blooms, namely a good medium dark pink. Possibly it is a little lighter than Jules Elie. It is late and strong growing.
