Rosa rubiginosa has naturalized around Bariloche, Argentina, and it actually an invasive plant, growing rampantly as a succession plant after forest fires. ID is fairly certain given the hips and the distinctive green apply scent of the foliage.

Rosa rubiginosa has naturalized around Bariloche, Argentina, as a succession plant after forest fires. It seems to compete in the same habitat as the native calafate, Berberis microphylla or Berberis buxifolia.
