Duchess Marie of Ratibor is a cross between Kaiserin Augusta Victoria and Dr. Grill; it has a free growth, upright in habit, and is a very free flowerer. The flowers of this variety last well when cut, are of good form, size, and substance, and borne very boldly, after the manner of Kaiserin Augusta Victoria; the color is clear creamy yellow, with a reddish yellow shade in the centre.

Duchess Marie of Ratibor is a Tea with strong and upright growth. The shape is good and is retained for a longer time than in most Roses. The colour is creamy yellow, with a warm crimson yellow centre--a very soft and pleasing shade and a welcome addition to the more delicately shaded Teas. It is a cross between Kaiserin A. Victoria and Dr. Grill

Herzogin Marie von Ratibor. (Thee.) (Kaiserin Auguste Victoria x Dr. Grill.) Strauch kräftig, aufrecht, mit starkem, festem Holze; Laub sehr gross, glänzend grün. Blume ziemlich gross, sehr fest und regelmässig gebaut, gefüllt, lange haltend, ganz aufrecht auf langem, geradem Stiele; Farbe rahmgelb mit hellgelb, Mitte rötlich zinnober, sehr feine Färbung. Duft hochfein! Gute Gruppen- und Hochstamm-Sorte. Ihre Durchlaucht der Herzogin Marie von Ratibor gewidmet.

Herzogin Marie von Ratibor. (Tea.) (Kaiserin Auguste Victoria x Dr. Grill.) Bush vigorous, upright, with strong firm wood; Foliage very large, shiny green. Flower fairly large, very firm and regularly constructed, double, long-lasting, quite upright on long straight stems; Colour creamy yellow with light yellow, centre reddish vermilion, very fine colouring. Finest quality fragrance! Good variety for bedding and standards. Dedicated to Her Highness Duchess Marie von Ratibor.
