Bloom:

Lilac - pink, ages to lighter . Strong fragrance. Average diameter 2.5". Medium, full (26-40 petals) bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer. Large, leafy sepals, pointed buds.

Habit:

Few or no prickles/thorns. Light green foliage. 6 to 9 leaflets.

Height: up to 4'11" (up to 150cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 3b through 9b. Blooms tend to ball in wet weather. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

Notes:

The rose currently sold as 'Minette' is identical to 'Rosa x suionum' in Scandinavia, to 'Dornenlose Kreiselrose' (thornless turbinata) in Germany and possibly to 'Banshee-Rose' in USA.
'Belle Cathérine' was a commercial name invented by Carl G. Dahl of the Alnarp Garden nursery in Sweden in 1918. A priority of this name, as propagated by some Nordic rose societies, cannot be supported, as the rose's history probably goes back to the 19th century.

The Swedish Rose Society recommends Minette for northern Sweden.
Corn Hill Nursery says 'Minette' is perhaps the toughest, longest-lived of the albas. They still find this rose growing on abandoned farms untended for decades. It has healthy foliage and double light pink flowers that darken toward the center...
