Updating some commentary on Milestone...my plant is an own-root plant and it's not at "it's best" on it's own roots. Great rose. They last a long time on the bush or in a vast. Great for cutting. Very underrated IMO. However, if your a fan of larger plants, you might want to try and find Milestone grafted if possible. Otherwise, if own-root is all you can find, you may want to put the plant in a less visible spot.

Its tough to capture how beautiful this rose is with a photo. The color glows against the backdrop of the dark green foliage. Love this one!	REPLY

In the South Mississippi heat and humidity, Milestone performed wonderfully with no burning. The main advantage of this plant is the blooms hold well in a vase. The color would be worth growing this for as there are no real disadvantages to the bush itself. It does seem much more difficult to come by these days.

August 2016 Update: I planted Milestone this year as an own-root from Roses Unlimited. It's still small, but, everything about this rose still holds true. It's healthy, it has gorgeous blooms, and the heat doesn't bother it much. It's not fussy, and I'd say it is a great rose for beginners and experts alike. It performs much better than many newer varieties that are more readily available on the market.

November 2016 Update: Under the cooler "Fall" conditions in Houston, Milestone's flowers are absolutely massive. Now I recall exactly why my mother always said this one was one of her favorites. On fragrance, it's light, but very noticeable. It is also a unique scent to my nose and very pleasant. A really great rose IMO.

Don't see any descendants listed but I am wondering if anyone knows if this rose sets hips w/viable seeds or has fertile pollen.	REPLY
