W. N. Rudd, secretary of the Society of American Florists, informs us that Paul Niehoff of Lehighton, Pa., desires to change the name of his pink rose, registered as Aurora, to Lovely, as he learns there is a European variety in existence bearing the former name.

Dalla Revue d’horticulture belge et étrangère apprendiamo che tutti i giornali americani fanno l’elogio d’una nuova rosa chiamata Aurora, che sarebbe il prodotto d’un incrocio della Rosa Bon Silene con la Rosa Souvenir du Président Carnot. I fiori sono grandi e zoppissimi portati da gambi lunghi e rigidi; il colorito è rosa cupo. E’ un eccellente acquisto per la cultura forzata.

A new american rose. Revue d’horticulture belge et étrangère reports that the American journals praise a new rose named Aurora, that is the product of the cross Rosa Bon Silene X Rosa Souvenir du Président Carnot. The flowers are big and very double with long and rigid stems; the colour is dark pink. An excellent new rose for forcing.
