The Rote Krimrose [Red Crimean Rose], a form of R. gallica is considered in the USSR as the main representative of Oil Roses. As a result of breeding activities in Simferopol in Crimea....The basic range consists of following roses: R. gallica f. rubra and the sorts 'Nowinka', 'Kooperatorka', 'Pionerka', which are little distributed.
