HelpMeFind's future is in your hands - Please do not take this unique resource for granted.

Your support of HelpMeFind is urgently needed. HelpMeFind, like all websites, needs funding to survive. We have set a premium-membership yearly subscription amount as low as possible to make user-community funding viable.

We are grateful to the many members who have signed up so far, but the number of premium-membership members remains too small for us to sustain the current support and development level. If you value HelpMeFind and want to see it continue we need your support too.

Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..

We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.

As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

In my experience (zone 9B so. CA) Wild Edric is quite a good cut flower in the house, lasting about four days and perfuming its vicinity. In fact the fragrance was so strong that I couldn't have it within four feet of me, and I don't have allergies. It's a crying shame that this rose is no longer offered in the US and from what I hear difficult to find in Europe. It's an excellent rose with no disease and very good rebloom for me.

This rose was very important to me in my rose journey as it was my introduction to the rugosas.
I loved its blooms, its foliage and its wonderful fragrance (to my nose, still the best of any rugosa).
Unfortunately, while other rugosas have done well down here in z11, this one did not enjoy the heat at all. Every summer it was on the verge of death. I tried moving it to more shade but it didn't like that either. This year the summer heatwaves finally killed it.
A fantastic rose, but not for here.

I thought I would add my experience with this rose. I planted four about 15 years ago in my garden in Oxfordshire (rainfall bellow average for Britain). My bushes are about 10ft tall and produce a good numbder of blooms. They are not reguarly pruned, though they are dead-headed. In recent years, however, the bushes have produced a great amount of dead wood while still demonstrating sustained vigour.
