Book (2012) Page(s) 100. Alexander MacKenzie. Medium red. 40-50 [petals]. 48". Intermittent. An Explorer rose. A kordesii hybrid. Extremely elegant, upright growth that arches over. Clusters of raspberry-scented cup-shaped flowers just under 3 inches (7.5 cm) across with a yellowish tinge at their base. Shiny, almost waxy, foliage matures from red tint to glossy light to mid green. Fairly disease resistant. Very good cane hardiness (zone 3).
