Is it truly mauve in colour? because in many of the photos here on HMF, it gives an over-all "look" of being dominated by the red tones...

It does survive through zone 5 winter. Own root.

This rose bush gets extremely tall in my zone 5/6 garden. It topped out at about 6' tall last year and produced plenty of high quality beautifully colored mauve blend blooms. I bought a second bush because I liked it so well. The blooms are about 3" in diameter and make wonderful cut flowers for the home. The flowers are almost all exhibition quality. It survived my zone 5/6 northwest Missouri winter with no trouble and without any added protection from me. I highly recommend this rose to anyone looking for a good mauve/purple rose for their garden of any size. John
