I am looking for Apricot Beauty. Why do you keep sending a picture of Zerliine?

I don't know about iloveDavidAustin's picture. But according to Margit Schowalter's comments for this rose, the breeder, Dr. Mekdeci named this rose after his daughter, Zerlene. David Elliott has also commented that this SAME rose was introduced by the White Rose Nursery as Apricot Beauty
(I have a funny feeling that you may be trying to add 'Buff Beauty' to your wish list?)

Thank you so much, but the picture of 'Zerlina' is not the same rose as my old 'Apricot Beauty'. However, since I know where that rose is, still going strong, I'll just have to try to root a piece next year.

"The seedling from Dornrosen x Maigold grew, and now has bloomed. It has a flower not too big, 3 1/2 inches, and not double enough 25 petals, but it is a lovely color, tangerine with an orange reverse. The color held in spite of 90 degree heat for days, and faded to peach with cream reverse after pollination with pollen of Leverkussen. If there is a hep--and the pistils look receptive---I will send it to you. This rose I am going to name Zerlene after my young daughter."
Dr. Mekdeci's letter of June 18, 1979 to Percy H. Wright

In a paper in the Newsletter of the Hamilton and Burlington Rose Society (Canada) Dr. Mekdeci Zerlene was introduced by White Rose Nursery in 1994 as "Apricot Beauty" After White Rose Nursery ceased to operate Dr. Mekeci restored his original name.
