Calyx tube is oval-turbinate, glandular, as are the peduncle and sepals; the flower is large, semi-double, of a deep pink, sometimes pale; twelve to twenty-four fuzzy styles.

Im Frühjahr 1826 waren der bengalischen Rosen, in ihren verschiedenen Abtheilungen 25 oder 30, außer der ursprünglichen Bengalensis und Sinensis, die Centifolie, die Camelia, Ternaux, Hermite de Grandval, Belle de Plaisance oder Speciosa, diese nach Advenant ungemein schön [...] von Noisetten hatte man die Lesbie, Lée, Lafayette, Bougainville, Azélie, Corali, Comtesse de Fresnel, Comtesse d'Orloff, Dufresnoy, deren aber nur wenige der Belle Noisette zu vergleichen.
Translation:
In the spring of 1826 the Bengal roses, in their various divisions 25 or 30, besides the original Bengalensis and Sinensis, the Centifolia, the Camelia, Ternaux, Hermite de Grandval, Belle de Plaisance, or Speciosa, were exceedingly beautiful after Advent [...] of noisettes one had the Lesbie, Lée, Lafayette, Bougainville, Azélie, Corali, Comtesse de Fresnel, Comtesse d'Orloff, Dufresnoy, but only a few of them could be compared to the Belle Noisette.

Door de groote zorg , welke ik besteed aan dit voorzeker het schoonste der bloemengeslachten, vlei ik mij dat de aflevering nan de verwachting mijner begunstigers zal beantwoorden. Price list of Roses, from J. F. Bruynzeels, Florist in Prinsenhage (Province of North Braband). At the Flower Exhibition held in Dordrecht on July 23, 1847, my collection of Roses was awarded. Due to the great care I pay to this certainly the most beautiful of flower genera, I am flattered that the delivery will meet the expectations of my supporters. The following, with some exceptions, are delivered at f 0.50 Cts. the piece....Bourbon Roses.... Comtesse Orloff.
