'Apple Blossom' rose References
Book (2016) Page(s) 15. Includes photo(s). Apple Blossom Breeder: Luther Burbank, 1932, United States. Parentage: Rosa rugosa x Rosa multiflora, Class: hybrid multiflora (rambler). Allow plenty of room for this very vigorous rose that will grow to 16 feet (5 meters) or more. Single light pink flowers with white centers blooming in very large clusters are produced by this variety, creating a sheet of colour. It was found by Philip Robinson at Burbank's old home. He believes that this is the authentic Burbank 'Apple Blossom' and the variety commonly sold under this name was Dawson's creation.
