This does appear to be a x reversa type hybrid spinosissima - suckers, arching, flower and height. As for hips the jury is out but would help greatly to a more definitive ID of parentage.	REPLY

The main page says "sets hips" but there are no photos of any hips, and no mention of hips in any of the references. Until we hear definitely that anyone's..... plant sets hips, we are changing that note to "does not set hips".	REPLY

I think i found this rose in the Garden at Britz in Berlin Germany however this rose was at least 180cm high an about the same width. The Plant was growing havily suckers up to a distance of 150cm. I took one of these, which emerged in the nearby grass and it developed well in my garden. Either Glory of Edsell kann grow much bigger than described or there is a very very similar rose that grows bigger.

just discovered that description says "sets hips"! Mine definitely does not set hip. Now I am even more in doubt if mine is indeed Glory of Edsell, but still could not finde a better match.

My plant is grafted. Last summer, after being mulched heavily over newspaper, it grew very vigorously. Very tall canes to 1.5m and more, almost climbing. It has an occasional repeat bloom.	REPLY

My plants grow on the northern and eastern side of my house. They are approaching 300 cm with the very long canes bending over elegantly as long bows. They don't get any fertilizer. They are suckering heavily. Occasional rebloom in autumn. This is middle of Germany	REPLY
