Origin:
Bred by Rudolf Geschwind (1829-1910) (Austria-Hungary (former), 1884).
Introduced in Czechoslovakia (former) by Gräfin Marie Henriette Chotek in 1927 as 'Geschwinds Nordlandrose I'.
Class:
Climber, Hybrid Multiflora.  
Bloom:
Pink to light pink.  None / no, opinions vary fragrance.  Average diameter 2.25".  Medium, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: up to 9'10" (up to 300cm).  Width: up to 9'10" (up to 300cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b through 8b.  Very hardy.  very vigorous.

The name Geschwind's Nordlandrose I is used as he hybridized a second, Geschwind's Nordlandrose Il in the 20's
The POM study in Sweden resulted in 'Geschwinds Nordlandrose' to be classed as a Damask hybrid. See the 2021 reference.
