Shy re-bloomer, and doesn't really bloom much the first few years. It's worth it for so many reasons. The flowers are unlike anything else on the market, and the plant is rather tough, surviving both hot summers and wet and humid ones without spraying in Florida. The fragrance is amazing. Highly recommended for a fence or arbor.
One of the most vigorous climbers I grow. The blooms have a very rich color to them, are loosely formed, and usually come one to a stem. Not a strong fragrance but it is noticeable. Hardiness is okay with protection in zone 5b. If you stake it to the ground and cover it with some mulch it will undoubtedly come through the winter without trouble. If left to its own devices it will die back to snow level but it is so vigorous it won't matter. The rebloom is pretty good on this one as well. Disease resistance in the midwest is fairly descent. It will get blackspot but it will not slow it down. Regularly forms OP hips if not deadheaded. Virtually no thorns. I highly recommend this variety.
