... if not for the presence of a second rose and a third name 'General Schablikine' that has become thoroughly entangled with 'Monsieur Tillier' / 'Archiduc Joseph'..... if you look at the 'posture' of the blooms, you will see that those with glandular pedicels ('General Schablikine') tend to face outwards or downwards. This is due to the curved,. kinked or S-shaped pedicels.....

'Vestey's Pink Tea'  Old, Tea, Medium Pink, Repeat-Flowering. This rose was rediscovered by Mrs Vestey, although the original name is not known. 'Vestey's Pink Tea' forms a medium-sized, spreading bush with rather large, curved thorns and mid-green, semi-glossy foliage that is very free of disease. The flowers are deep rose pink with a cream base to each petal; a suffusion of cream runs through the pink. There are 30-40 petals, forming a full flower that is attractively cupped. The buds are well shaped and the blooms keep their color well. This variety will flower continuously in mild climates with the best flowers usually seen in autumn and winter. There is a typical Tea Rose scent. Zones 5-10. Parentage unknown.
