Origin:
Bred by Elisha J. Hicks (United Kingdom, 1919).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1922 as 'Mrs. Elisha Hicks'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
White, light pink shading.  Flesh, nearly white.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Short, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Light green, dense, wrinkled (rugose) foliage.  

Height: 2' (60cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Type: 'Killarney'. The bush was said to be "stumpy" in growth.
'Silverscent' may, or may not, be the same as 'Mrs. Elisha Hicks. Research is ongoing and more information is sought.
