Its colour is predominantly yellow with a picotee edge of pink to crimson. It is not as floriferous for its type as it should be.

Book (1943) Page(s) 17. R. Marion Hatton. The World's New Roses. Fantastique is a frilly bloom, with carmine edges, the lower part of the petals pale yellow. There are about forty petals and a pleasing fragrance. The flowers are of medium size and quite attractive. Autumn bloom was more deeply coloured, and it should be quite popular.
