There seems to be an error in the description of "Single Red Scotch":

"Height of 1" to 1.5" (3 to 4 cm)."

seems a bit small to me :)

Furthermore I have the question, if there is evidence of "Single Red Scotch" being distinct from "Red Nelly"(Single Cherry)? in which trait can they be distinguished?
I have got a rose from Rosenversand Fechner labled:
"Single Red Scotch (Red Nelly)"
although today they list it online as "Single Cherry"
The question is of special interrest as my plant is the father of Rosa Hugonis x Red Nelly.

Yes, most certainly a typo. Let's here from the HMF community on their experience with this rose.

Single Red Scotch most likely hasn't white reverse Petals.

For what it is worth, I have added a 1942 reference to the 'Single Red Scotch' page.
There is a note on the 'Single Cherry page - [The earliest record found to date of the name 'Single Cherry' is Graham Thomas in Shrub Roses of Today published in 1962.]
Hopefully, Peter Boyd will enlighten us further at the December 2-4 Heritage Roses in Australia Inc. conference in Tasmania.
