Book (1954) Page(s) 14. Harry H. Hazlewood. The New Roses of 1954. Ulster Monarch HT. (McGredy, 1951). Not exactly new but a variety which has improved considerably since introduction. It is a fine exhibition rose of soft creamy buff shade. A good grower with glossy foliage.
Book (1953) Page(s) 138. Miss Pat Mason, Auckland N.Z. Ulster Monarch This appears to be a strong growing variety, with well-formed blooms up exhibition standard; salmon-cream to pale buff. Overseas reports stress the exquisite form, so further blooming will be awaited with much interest.
