Crimson to purple, mauve shading, flecked, lighter edges.. Moderate fragrance. Medium, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters, button-eye, quartered bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Suckers on its own roots, upright. Medium, light green foliage.
Height: 4' (120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Prune after flowering is finished.

Notes:
The attribution of 'Belle Herminie' in Sangerhausen to Coquerel is incorrect, as the rose is very prickly. It is possibly one of the 15 numbered 'Belle Herminie' which Vibert bred between 1822-1838.
