Class:
Hybrid Rugosa, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red.  Strong fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.  
Habit:
Dense, few or no prickles/thorns.  

Height: 3' (90cm).  Width: 3' (90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Dedicated to Marie Augustine Vernet (August 23, 1825 Clermont-Ferrand - August 7, 1898 Suresnes), saleswoman at the Parisian silk house of Gagelin and Opigez, who in 1851 married Charles Frederick Worth (November 13, 1826 Bourne - March 10, 1895 Paris), English fashion designer, who emigrated 1845 to Paris and opened 1858 his own fashion house, considered the Father of Haute Couture. Marie Worth became the first live model to show dresses.
