Hybrid Polyantha.  Mary (Jan Spek, 1949). There have been numerous sports of ‘Orange Triumph’, but this is outstanding in the way it retains its colour under fierce summer heat. It is a very pleasing salmon pink, preferred by some to the original.

p143.  Dr. A. S. Thomas.  A Victorian View of the New Roses.
Mary: A rich salmon pink sport of Orange Triumph.  It is less striking than the older variety for garden display, but the colour is delightful for indoor decoration - it will not conflict with every other colour in the room.
