Bred by Michael Henry Horvath (United States, 1934).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1936 as 'Doubloons'.
Introduced in France by Clos fleuri - Raymond Chénault in 1938 as 'Doubloons'.

Class:

Climber, Hybrid Setigera, Large-Flowered Climber.

Bloom:

Golden-yellow, ages to lemon-yellow . Deep saffron yellow buds, open flower rich gold. Moderate fragrance. Average diameter 2.25". Cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form. Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom. Ovoid buds.

Habit:

Climbing. Glossy foliage.

Growing:

USDA zone 2b through 8b. Can be used for cut flower or garden. Very hardy. vigorous. Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .
