THE QUEEN ALEXANDRA ROSE
(Pernetiana)
A rose with most unique colouring, which requires a bed of its own. The flowers are of moderate size, freely produced and exceptionally fragrant. It has dark olive green foliage, which is mildew proof. Requires protection in winter from frost. Should be sparingly pruned during the second week of March. Introduced in 1917, and awarded the Gold Medal of the National Rose Society.
