Duchess of Albany a sport of 'La France' (also called 'Dark La France')... it is a rich deep pink... the habit of growth of the plant remained practically the same as the parent... it was only in the color of the rose that the change manifested itself.

Ebely, horticulteur à Villié-Morgon (Rhône) : des fleurs d’une Rose nouvelle, provenant d’une variation de la variété La France. Après examen, la Commission exprime l’avis que cette variété a une grande ressemblance avec la variété Duchesse d’AIbany. Cette Rose, quoique déjà bien appréciée par le présentateur, mériterait d’être revue afin d’être bien fixée sur son identification.
