Bloom:
Deep pink, yellow stamens. Mild fragrance. Average diameter 2.5". Medium, single (4-8 petals), flat bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Bushy, dense, well-branched. Large, glossy, medium green foliage. 9 leaflets.
Height: 8'2" to 13'1" (250 to 400cm). Width: 4' (120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Vigorous. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Open-pollinated seedling of Rosa roxburghii. Pollen parent probably R. macrophylla. Different opinions on respective seed and pollen parents. See references. Rosa x coryana in Sangerhausen seems to be a different rose than in other gardens - with elongated hips like R. macrophylla rather than R.roxburghii-like prickly, rounded hips.
