Book (1984) Page(s) 121. Dr. A. S. Thomas, Victoria. Some Of The Newer Introductions. Champion (G. Fryer). Big, well formed blooms with over fifty petals but unfortunately they are of thin texture. They are yellow with edgings and flushes of red. Very thin stems. They mark readily in bad weather. The plant is only of moderate growth. Hardly a garden or dual-purpose rose.
Book (1981) Page(s) 118. Dr. A. S. Thomas, Victoria. Some New Ones. Champion Large Flowered (Fryer, 1976): Planted 1979, grew well in 1980. Not a big plant as seen in England in 1976 nor here so far, but it blooms well. The blooms are very large with about fifty petals. Excellent form. Light yellow with pink and red markings. There were fine blooms of this rose at several shows in the 1980 spring.
