Hybrid Perpetual.  Crimson, red shading, ages to violet .  Strong fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, flat, scalloped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  USDA zone 6b and warmer.   François Marest (1851).

Hybrid Perpetual.  Carmine-pink, lighter reverse. .  Strong fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), scalloped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).   François Marest (1853).

Tea.  Light pink, buff shading, blush outer petals, copper shading, ages to white .  Glandular or hairy pedicels.  None to mild fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Height: 3' (90cm).  Width: 2' to 3' (60 to 90cm). François Marest (1853).
