Origin:
Bred by Reimer Kordes (1922-1997) (Germany, 1971).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) as 'Adolf Horstmann'.
Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in 1973 as 'Adolf Horstmann'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Lemon-yellow, pink undertones, yellow stamens.  Mild fragrance.  45 to 50 petals.  Average diameter 5.5".  Very large, borne mostly solitary, high-centered, open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, upright.  Medium, medium green, leathery foliage.  

Height: up to 3' (up to 90cm).  Width: up to 2' (up to 60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden.  Very vigorous.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
