In its second year, 'Fabulous!' is just what I expect floribundas to be: compact, with many small flowers, and little fragrance. Flower form is good, and consistent, rather dense and formal looking flowers (rather than "romantic), slightly smaller than 3" here. There is a slight fragrance almost identical to 'Iceberg' but not as strong. Foliage is glossy green, and growth is vigorous. Continues to produce flowers through my dry heat in the upper 90's to 100F, although at higher temperatures, edges brown, but much less than most roses. Does not seem to get thrips damage in my climate. Tolerates drought and low fertility soil better than most.

My garden is in zone 7 of N. C. I have a speciman that I have grown for 5 years. It is about 2 1/2 ft high and wide on a rather rounded plant. The blooms on my plant are very elegant in form, resembling the romantic roses in old European paintings. I live where blackspot is rampart, but I have very little problem with
it with this plant--I don't really have to spray. It seems to be very tough. I plan to add more plants to my garden.

White is generally a fairly boring rose color for me, but I like the bloom form of this Fabulous! rose and the foliage looks like it is a nice dark green which makes the blooms really stand out. I am seriously considering purchasing it for my garden. Why did J&P drop this one from their availability list so fast?? I know they are notorious for dropping roses at the drop of a hat for no apparent reason we can usually discern. With this rose, all I have ever seen picture wise and read/heard comment wise is good things as well. What a puzzler this is....

Sometimes I see FABULOUS at Home DePOT in the bareroot season. You might look for it
come November. Also, check SummerWinds Nursery during that season.
