Bred by Percy Picton (United Kingdom, 1945).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Fisk's Clematis Nursery in 1956 as 'C. 'Hagley Hybrid''.
Class:
Large-flowered, Late.  
Bloom:
Pink.  5 to 6 petals.  Average diameter 6".  Single, ruffled edge, saucer-shaped bloom form.  Early summer to early autumn.  
Habit:

Height: 6' to 8' (185 to 245cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Partial sun.  Suitable for growing in a container.  suitable for growing through trees.  In early spring, cut back to just above the lowest set of healthy buds.
