Origin:
Bred by Dr. Frank L. Skinner (Canada, circa 1962).
Class:
Atragene Group, Early Small Flowered, Group 1, Macropetala Group.  
Bloom:
Blue.  4 petals.  Average diameter 2.25".  Semi-double, bell-shaped bloom form.  Mid-to-late spring, occasional flowers later.  
Habit:

Height: 8' to 10' (245 to 305cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 3b through 9b.  Plant in sun or partial shade.  Suitable for growing in a container.  No pruning required.  Shape or tidy up the plant AFTER flowering is finished.  It blooms on the previous year's growth, so resist the urge to prune it in early spring.
