Slow!!!

I love this rose, but grafted onto Huey anyway, she's a slow one. Like really slow :)

I don't have disease problems with her, and she blooms nicely, but I'm going to start pinching out her blooms. Gotta get some height on this girl. Prefers a bit of shade here in my hot NC garden.

I'd love to try her own-root to see if she does better ungrafted in my area. I'll let y'all know if I do.

Edit: she's in an enormous pot. Maybe she doesn't like pots as far as vigor goes. I love her colors and the sweetheart blooms, so I love her, but be warned ;) This is my second slow clone, both grafted from J&P.

You best bet is to use the garden listing for this plant to find other member gardens in your area growing 'Dream Weaver'. You can use the COMMENTS tab on their member page to contact them directly. The advantage is that we will send them an email alerting them to your post. Good luck and please be sure to share your gardening experiences here.

Well, I can not relate to the positive experiences posted here. My Dream Weaver is in its fourth year, and it still has done virtually nothing. It survives (is actually in a protected location on the south side of the house), but does not send good climbing canes, has relatively few blooms, and is one of my worst roses for blackspot (is diseased from early in the year). I keep waiting for it to take off.

I actually had two of these at different clients. I have now shovel pruned one of them. The other is mediocre.

Dream Weaver. I've had this rose for 4 years. It blooms all summer and transplants very well. It climbs very high and is loaded with blooms. Very little orange. A true pink. Buds are perfect sweetheart roses for a classic sweet 16 tussie mussie.

This is my 2nd year with Dream Weaver. I am wonderfully amazed at it's prolific growth and bloom capability. It seems to have great disease resistance, and the blooms are just amazing, a pure pink with beautiful yellow stamens. Definately a must-have.

How many feet is it now? How old? I am looking for a repeat bloom and fairly fast growth rate..

Hello. Did you get any response to your question about how large Dream Weaver would grow? I'm interested in the same information--I live in southern California.
