Bloom:
Salmon-pink, yellow shading. Orient pink suffused aureoline yellow. Mild, apple, lemon fragrance. 40 petals. Average diameter 3.25". Medium, very double, old-fashioned bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Bushy, compact, few or no prickles/thorns. Medium, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.
Height: 20" to 4'11" (50 to 150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) . Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).

Composer Johann Strauss was born in Vienna, Austria, 25 October 1825. Strauss was famous for his Viennese waltzes and operettas. He died in Vienna 3 June 1899.
