It's too vigorous for my little fence. My mistake for planting it here. Pink color bleaches to almost white. I wish I had a better space for it. I have to remove it, sadly.

From Deutsches Magazin für Garten- und Blumenkunde, vol. 30, 1877, p. 158. The source material's image is in two parts, which I have attempted to combine and repair so that the break is, on the one hand, not too jarring to the eye, but on the other hand leaving it clear where the break is. The correct full name of the rose appears to be 'Kaiser Wilhelm I von Deutschland', with a release year of 1877.

It's too vigorous for my little fence. For me it was hard to bend the canes before they get stiff. My mistake for planting it here. Gorgeous ruffles. Pink color bleaches in my garden. In cooler spring weather I've seen it with gorgeous darker pink centers. I wish I had a better space for it. I have to remove it, sadly.
