I dug this rose up from my Grandfather's rose garden in Mendocino after he died. Luckily, it still has the patent tag on it, so I have made a positive identification of this rose. It is a small, low growing plant in our climate and is quite prone to mildew. I grew this rose in Oakland for years, where it struggled with low sun and medium temperatures. It is now in my new garden in Santa Rosa, which is much hotter and sunnier, so it is doing better, but is still crabby about morning fog. Santa Rosa, CA July 17, 2009
