Breeder's notes:
The ‘Merry Mari Hooper’ rose is named after my good rose friend Mari Hooper. Always cheerful, Mari Hooper was my earliest rose fan and always encouraged me in my rose breeding hobby. She was also one of a handful of rose friends who planted all 41,589 of my rose seeds in February 2003 when I was not able to after I broke my leg (that ultimately had to be amputated). I will never forget that kindness. Mari is currently living in Texas and tells me that she misses the ease of growing roses in California.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Note that the seedling is the seed parent heritage is an extinct thornless miniature Hulthemia seedling of mine with a complex ancestry.
Also, the seedling in the pollen parent’s notation is an extinct miniature Hulthemia seedling, but different from that on the side of the seed parent.
