Discovered by Nicolas-Joseph Prevost (fils) (France, 1825).
Class:
Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Purple - violet, white stripes..  Medium, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Le Bon jardinier changes the name in 1833 from 'Pourpre panaché de blanc' to 'Pourpre strié de blanc'.
