Bred by Philippe-Victor Verdier (France, 1843).
Class:
Moss.  
Bloom:
Crimson or deep pink.  Medium, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Notes:
The attribution to Vibert 1825 by Simon/Cochet in 1899 is a mixup with the noisette of the same name.
