Bred by Toussaint de la Prairie (France, before 1841).
Introduced in France by Victor Verdier et fils in before 1842 as 'Pompon Toussaint'.
Class:
Damask.  
Bloom:
Pink to carmine-pink, crimson shading, ages to lilac .  Small to medium, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  
Habit:
Well-branched.
