'Bright Violet Star' rose Description

Bloom:
Violet, dark purple edges, white center. Mild fragrance. 10 to 18 petals. Average diameter 2.5". Small to medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters, open, rosette bloom form. Prolific, continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season. Small, long sepals, rounded buds.
Habit:
Medium, bushy, compact, dense, few or no prickles/thorns, mounded, well-branched. Small, semi-glossy, dark green foliage. 5 to 7 leaflets.
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose or garden. Benefits from winter protection in colder climates. drought resistant. flowers drop off cleanly. heat tolerant. rain tolerant. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
