Discovered by Robert Lee Catron (United States, before 1932).
Introduced in United States by Joseph H. Hill Co. in 1934 as 'Better Times'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1936 as 'Better Times'.

Hybrid Tea.  

Cerise, red shading.  Mild fragrance.  36 to 50 petals.  Large, very full (41+ petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  

Compact, dense, few or no prickles/thorns.  Dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 4' to 6' (120 to 185cm).  

USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
