"Skinner's Red Leaf Perpetual" rose Description

Bloom:
Light pink. up to 5 petals. Small, single (4-8 petals), in small clusters bloom form. Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom. Small buds.
Habit:
Sends out runners. Small, matte, blue-green, attractive fall color, blue highlights , edged purple-red, maroon highlights , maroon underside foliage. 7 to 9 leaflets.
Growing:
USDA zone 3b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, garden, landscape, shrub or specimen. Hardy. can be grown as a shrub. flowers drop off cleanly. produces decorative hips. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant. Needs little care; relatively disease-free and quite hardy.

Notes:
The Rosa glauca hybrid was discovered at Skinner's Nursery in Manitoba, Canada. This plant may be an F2 'Carmenetta' selection. It has glauca foliage to a lesser degree than the species and repeats bloom. Listing was entered by Rob Byrnes on November 13, 2010.
