Bred by Joshua Pierce / Peirce (United States, circa 1846).
Class:
Hybrid Setigera.  
Bloom:
Deep pink.  Small, very double, cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Medium, wrinkled (rugose) foliage.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Notes:
Blooms rather loose, numbering fifteen to twenty flowers in a cluster.
Leaves deeply serrated. Prickles purplish red
