Origin:
Bred by Flon, père (France, 1824). Bred by Jean-Pierre Vibert (France, 1825).
Introduced in Australia by Handasyde, McMillan & Co. in 1865 as 'Delaage'.
Class:
Hybrid China, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Purple - red, violet shading.  Mild fragrance.  Average diameter 2.75".  Medium, very full (41+ petals), flat bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Small, dark green foliage.  5 leaflets.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Parentage:
seedling of Thé commun
